- Assists the physician with all procedures, including assisted in vitro fertilization (IVF), surgeries such as hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, inseminations, and ultrasounds, as well as routine examinations.
- Follows up on all laboratory testing, schedules procedures, and case manages cycles as outlined by the physician.
- Patient teaching in regard to medication, procedures, and appointments.
- Perform limited ultrasound examinations and inseminations, as well as perform phlebotomy and administer medications.
- Performing some laboratory procedures, such as semen analysis and preparation of sperm for insemination.
- Organising schedules for donors and recipients
- Reviewing all charts, screening for current and abnormal laboratory results, seeing that all other preliminary testing is done, and coordinating all schedules before initiating a cycle.
- Teach basic physiology and medication administration to the patient and partner, and schedule as well as explain a complex series of follow-up appointments and medication protocols to the patient/couple
- Evaluates and treats patients with gynecologic problems, as well as hyperstimulation symptoms and pregnancy problems.
- Monitor the stock inventory of medicines and other necessary supplies from time to time.
