I am Richel Salazar, a dedicated Safety Officer and Pollution Control Officer (PCO) at Indorama Ventures, where I have been serving since March 19, 2020. As a DOLE Accredited Safety Practitioner, I am committed to promoting a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence in the workplace.
Throughout my career, I have led numerous safety, health, and environmental initiatives, helping our plant achieve significant milestones, including 1 Million Safe Man-Hours without a Lost Time Incident and contributing to multiple EHS Excellence recognitions. My passion lies in protecting people, ensuring compliance, and continuously improving workplace safety standards.
Beyond my profession, I am a proud mother who values family above all else. I take great pride in supporting my children’s achievements and nurturing them to become responsible and successful individuals. As an athlete and an athlete-mom, I believe in discipline, perseverance, and leading by example.
I am also an advocate for environmental sustainability, actively participating in programs that promote environmental protection, waste management, and community engagement. My goal is to continue growing professionally while making a positive impact on the people, workplace, and community around me.

Conduct Tool Box Meeting.
Provide orientation to newly-hired employees and document the same.
Investigate work area on any safety hazard or unsafe conditions that can cause accident.
Recommend the elimination of hazard and unsafe conditions found in the area in-charge.
Ensure that personnel are provided with Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in the performance in the work.
Inspect all equipment/tools to be used to be in good condition and not defective.
Ensure that personnel are using the right tools/equipment in doing the work.
Ensure that watchman/men are present during hot work, tank inside work, use of crane and other works that so required.
See to it that fire prevention or fire suppression equipment are provided during hot work.
See to it that the group do housekeeping and cleaning in the work area, before start and after finished of work.
Conduct safety meeting with the group once a month
Ensure the Company’s compliance to any and all applicable Occupational Safety and Environmental Standards, as well as other related laws, regulations and policies.
Improves workplace safety and environmental compliance by recognizing, evaluating and controlling potentially hazardous conditions and practices.
Conducts program assessments to identify departmental deficiencies.
Leads in the corporate education of Safety and Environment to all personnel.
Conducts training, audits and surveys as needed.
Leads accident investigations; including the review of all accident and incident data. Direct the implementation and communication of appropriate findings and develops corrective actions to prevent similar accidents.
Reviews, revises and helps in the creation of corporate safety and environmental programs.
Provides support to Plant Manager on the implementation of applicable Safety and Environment principles, techniques and methodologies.

Take pictures of Nestle assets for documentation
Make and print asset stickers for tagging of assets
Coordinate to Nestle Supervisors
Supervise Cost plus and project assigned personnel’s

Attends Pre-bid of Client for project proposals
Analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interaction and planning digital campaigns to build community.
