This portfolio showcases my practical bookkeeping skills, including setting up and managing accounts, recording and categorizing transactions, handling recurring transactions, performing bank reconciliation, and preparing financial reports.
It demonstrates my ability to maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date financial records while paying close attention to detail.
Chart of Accounts Setup
Added and customized multiple accounts in the Chart of Accounts to create an organized account structure and ensure transactions are properly classified for accurate financial reporting.
Result:
Established a clear and structured account setup that supports accurate transaction recording and reporting.

Also added and set up bank account details, including the account name, account type, and other necessary information to ensure transactions were properly recorded and ready for reconciliation.

Entered the appropriate conversion balances to ensure the opening balances were accurately reflected and the financial records started with the correct figures.

Imported and Approved Invoices and Bills
Imported invoices and bills and reviewed each transaction before approving for accuracy and completeness. Verified important details such as dates, amounts, suppliers or customers, and account classifications before approving the transactions. This helped ensure that approved invoices and bills were properly recorded and reflected in the business’s financial records.

Bank Reconciliation
Performed bank reconciliation by comparing the imported bank transactions against the corresponding records to identify and resolve discrepancies. Reviewed transaction dates, amounts, and references to ensure that all transactions were properly recorded and matched with the bank statement. Investigated any differences and made the necessary adjustments to ensure the account was accurately reconciled and up to date.

Added Superannuation, Employees & Processed Payroll
Set up superannuation details and added employee records with the necessary payroll information. Reviewed employee details and payroll settings to ensure they were properly configured before processing payroll. Ran payroll accurately and reviewed the payroll results to ensure employee payments, superannuation, and related payroll figures were properly recorded.

Activity Statement
Generated the Activity Statement to review and report the business’s tax obligations for the selected period. Reviewed the reported figures and transaction details to ensure the information was complete, accurate, and properly reflected in the financial records before finalizing the statement.
