ENTERING CONVERSION BALANCES

When setting up the organization in Xero, we entered the conversion balances to establish the opening balances as of the conversion date. After the initial setup, we reviewed Xero's conversion balance recommendations and resolved any discrepancies by importing the necessary supporting documents and historical transactions. This process ensured that all opening balances were properly supported, the total debits and credits remained balanced, and any foreign exchange gains or losses were accurately recognized. Completing these steps helped maintain the integrity of the financial records and ensured the Xero file was ready for accurate ongoing bookkeeping and financial reporting.

Prepared and recorded journal entries following BAS lodgement and payment to the ATO, ensuring tax liabilities were accurately cleared, ledger balances remained accurate, and financial reports reflected the business's true financial position.

 I also gained experience generating key financial reports, including Profit and Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Reports, while learning how to review and interpret financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas that require attention.
